On behalf of Dahabshiil Group I would like to extend my cordial greetings to our valued customers,employees and agents on the occasion of the beginning of year 1434 of the Hijri Calendar and the start of 2013.

Last year was a very successful year for Dahabshiil Group. We managed to attract new customers from all over the world, and we expanded our collaboration with worldwide business communities. In particular, we worked closely with livestock traders in the Somali territories to provide them with essential financial services. This was crucial because livestock plays such an important part in underpinning the economic structure of the Somali territories. We also attracted new humanitarian organisations as clients. We are proud to facilitate much needed aid and financial services.

Corporate social responsibility remained at the core of our activities. Dahabshiil Group always does its best to contribute to the communities that reside wherever we operate in the world. We continued to support the humanitarian, education, and health sectors across the
Somali territories and abroad. Among our socially responsible undertakings were our timely aid to the flood-stricken Beledweyn area, and the upgrading of libraries, teaching/learning facilities and conference halls at major universities. Recently, we started the construction of a self-contained compound that will provide desperately needed housing for the mentally ill at Forlanini Hospital in Mogadishu.

At Dahabshiil we continue to increase the quality of our services such as telecommunication, money transfer and banking, to meet the highest standards, international compliance, and the expectations of our customers. These developments, which helped create numerous jobs, have provided a solid foundation for the Group’s future. The year 2013
holds huge opportunities for us, and our priority remains clear: to provide excellent and efficient services to our customers.
